CALL FOR PAPERS: For a special session that has been accepted on the program
at the Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association (PAMLA) annual
meeting. The 1999 PAMLA gathering will be at Portland State University,
Portland, Oregon, November 5-7.
Teaching Environmental Literature
I welcome proposals (or papers) to help shape a conversation on pedagogical
strategies for teaching environmental literature, and/or teaching literature
from an environmental point of view. The panel is designed to serve as an
exchange of ideas on teaching, pedagogy and current curricular changes.
Special attention will be given to proposals that explore the connections
between theory and practice, whether at the level of individual text(s),
course design, or curriculum transformation.
Queries are welcome. For consideration, please send a TWO-PAGE PROPOSAL AND
A 50 WORD ABSTRACT by MARCH 15 to:
