Call for papers: MLA Lesbian/Gay Caucus panel
"Disciplining Queers: Where (Do We?) Fit?"

Lesbian/Gay/Queer Studies evolved from diverse academic settings --
among them women's studies programs, individual hospitable
departments, and insurgent study centers -- as well as through
community scholarship. How well do the different existing
institutional locations serve the enterprise of LGQ Studies?
Do we need new forms? Why, and if so, how should they be
created and negotiated? This panel will address both theoretical
and practical concerns regarding the academic "homes" of
the field.
