Call For Papers

PSYCHOANALYSIS AND THE ACT OF READING
South-Central Modern Language Association
Memphis, Tennessee
October 28-30, 1999

Papers will focus (preferably) on ways in which psychoanalysis and the
activity of reading are (or are not) analogous; on reading psychoanalysis
or reading within analysis; on other intersections between the practice
of psychoanalysis and the practice of reading.

Proposals of 500 words are due by March 15, 1999; panelists must be SCMLA
members (membership may follow proposal acceptance).
