Rhetoric of Motivational Discourse
Seeking abstracts on all aspects of the Rhetoric of Business and
Motivational Discourse.
Topics may include but are not limited to the following:
--discourse of company seminars and employee training
--inter-office decorum:from email to boardroom etiquette
--rhetoric and/or history of self-help literature
--appropriation of Eastern philosophy for management strategizing
Send one-page abstracts of 20 minute papers to orchar_b@cob.sjsu.edu
by March 1, 1999.
Panel participants may want to arrive early on the 4/22 to attend a
lecture given by Arthur Miller, sponsored by SJSU's Center for
Literary Arts.
Note: An earlier version of this call for papers was sent out missing
important information such as date, time, and place--a oversight for
which the author apologizes under the pretext that the said version
was sent from the auspices of the Sony Corp. Compound where all
non-inhouse electronic correspondence is subjected to sporadic
