I now realize that I shouldn't post calls for papers after a twelve-hour
day since doing so led me to write incorrectly that the SCMLA conference
is in October 98. The conference is in October 99, and proposals are
due by March 15, 1999. Here is the correct information.
South Central Modern Language Association Conference
Memphis TN
October 28-30, 1999
Please send papers or 500-word abstracts by March 15 for the SCMLA
conference panel on Restoration and Eighteenth-Century British
Literature. The topic is
open, but the conference theme is "Intersections." Send your paper or
proposal to Kathryn Duncan, Department of English, Louisiana State
University, 213 Allen Hall, Baton Rouge LA 70803 or via e-mail to
Gator47@ibm.net.
SCMLA's conference is a great one, with panels on a wide range of
topics, so I encourage you to submit your ideas.
