                          _Studies in the Novel_

                              special issue

                         TOPIC: DEATH IN THE NOVEL

Submissions are invited for full-length papers on any topic concerning
death in the novel. Papers must be received on or before September 1.
This special issue of the journal, guest-edited by Diana York Blaine,
is scheduled to appear Spring 2000.
