The Modern Drama Society is accepting abstracts (500 word) for 15 minute
papers which approach one or more of Samuel Beckett's plays from specific,
well-defined theoretical perspectives. We are interested in exploring the
ways in which the major currents in contemporary theory intersect,
converge, and interfere with each other--within and across Beckett's
dramatic texts. Selected papers are to be presented at the 1999 SCMLA
convention in Memphis, TN, October 28-30 and will be posted on the
Society's web-page. Send abstracts to Jenny Netto
(jnetto@mail.occ.cccd.edu) by April 1.
