Call for papers for the Caribbean Literature Panel at this year's
Central New York Conference on Language and Literature to be held from
October 3-5, 1999 in Cortland, NY (at SUNY Cortland).
Please send 250-word abstracts or short papers (approximately 7 pages)
along with a copy of your CV to the chair at the address below. Papers
can be on any area of Caribbean Literature, covering any of the
linguistic regions (Anglophone, Hispanophone, Francophone, Isophone).
Papers on poetry and drama, as these are typically underrepresented
genres in discussions of literature, are particularly welcomed. If
accepted, papers must be able to be read within a 15-minute time limit.
Abstracts or papers must be received by the June 1, 1999 deadline to be
considered. Please send by regular mail to:
