Contemporary Perspectives of MARY WOLLSTONECRAFT M/MLA SESSION November 4-6, 1999
My work has been accepted for inclusion in the 1999 M/MLA Convention in Minneapolis. I will coordinate a Session entitled Contemporary Perspectives of Mary Wollstonecraft. I hope that this Session will forge new understandings of Wollstonecraft's dynamic place in literary, political, philosophical and feminist history. I will present a paper which takes a psychoanalytical, feminist approach to A Vindication of the Rights of Woman. Papers can consider any interpretations of Mary Wollstonecraft's life and letters, fiction, reviews, polemical writing or travel writing which shed contemporary light upon her.
