Date: Sun Apr 18 1999 - 13:30:17 EDT

For our annual publication, _Midwest Concerns_, we are seeking
contributions that follow up on the M/MLA's 1998 theme, "Does the
Profession Have a Future?" Brief opinion pieces are sought from members on
the following topics:

--What do you think the future of a women's caucus for the
national/regional MLA should be?
--What do you think the Midwest Women's Caucus should be doing?
--What issues would you like to see addressed or activities established by
the Caucus?
--What directions should the Caucus be going in?

Submissions of up to 300 words will be considered for publication.
Submissions will be accepted by snail mail, FAX [(414) 472-6237], or email
<looserd@mail.uww.edu>. Address questions to Devoney Looser, Co-Chair,
1997-9, Midwest Women's Caucus for the Modern Languages.

DEADLINE: 15 May 1999

Membership information and a list of our activities are available on our
