Panel on Rhetoric and Composition
Cortland, New York
October 3-5, 1999

This panel seeks to provide a forum for the discussion of recent
developments in composition scholarship and/or pedagogy. Possible topics
for 15-minute presentations include but are not limited to
-intersections of and tensions between composition theory and pedagogy
-contemporary applications of classical rhetoric
-writing across the curriculum
-multiple intelligences in the composition classroom
-contextualization of written composing
-teaching writing with computers (Daedalus, Plato, etc.)
-intertextuality and written composing
-teaching writing-as-process: pros and cons
-assessment of student writing
