II Seminario Sobre Postmodernismo Second Seminar on Postmodernism

Postmodernisms: Those were the days? Prospects and Retrospects

CALL FOR PAPERS December,1998

Dear Colleagues:

Now, after a three year interval, we are preparing the Second Seminar on Postmodernism to be held at the University of Seville on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of October 1999 and send you this Call for Papers in the belief that some of you might be interested in delivering a paper on a related topic, either in English or Spanish. This second conference will again consider the postmodernist phenomenon in its relation to literature and other cultural studies and we hope to cover a variety of approaches which might include the following: Postmodernism and Literary Alternatives; Postcolonial Studies; Feminism; Critical Theory, Chaos Theory; Cultural Studies and so on.

We already look forward to the participation of visiting lecturers from Spain and abroad and, in order to consider your proposals and organise the programme, we require the title of your paper and an abstract/summary (approx. 500 words) before the 31st of May 1999.

We can be contacted at the Departamento de Literatura Inglesa y Norteamericana de la Universidad de Sevilla and at the addresses and telephone numbers indicated below. We hope that this seminar will be of interest to you and look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Sincerely yours,

The Organising Committee:
