CFP: Tolkien's Fiction and Criticism (7/1; UVA-Wise, 9/16-9/18)

The XIIIth Medieval-Renaissance Conference (Clinch Valley College of
the University of Virginia, Sept. 16-18, 1999) is pleased to announce a
special session on the fiction and criticism of JRR Tolkien. We encourgage
papers exploring the interrelationship of Tolkien's fictional and critical
writings, but will consider papers exploring other aspects of medievalism
in Tolkien.

Please submit a brief abstract accompanied by a one-page vita by July 1 to:
