Seeking papers for a panel on American Literature that addresses the
practice of blaming the victims of illness for their incapacities, to be
presented at Fordham University's "Maladies in Literature" conference.
Literature addressed may be canonical or marginal; all critical approaches
welcome. Send abstracts of less that 300 words or requests for further
guidelines to
