OF THE PARTY AND IN THE MARKET : THE SOCIAL FUNCTIONS OF CHINESE JOURNALISM TODAY

A themed issue of Journalism Studies, to be published next year, will cover these issues. The invitation has been extended by the JS editorial committee following the successful symposium on this issue held at NTU in February 1999. It was opened with a keynote speech by Prof Lee Chin-chuan of Minnesota and Chinese University of HK and attended by scholars from several European countries, Chinese journalists and the Media Law Advisory Committee of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Offers of articles are welcome as are offers to review and suggestions for works to be reviewed. All articles will be peer reviewed. In the first instance send a brief synopsis of your idea plus resume to the guest editor:
