Call For Papers--SCS 2000 (March 9-12; Chicago)
NEW AMERICAN DIRECTIONS--A WORKSHOP
A workshop addressing the "New American Director." Topics may include but
are not limited to a) single director studies: Todd Solondz, David
Fincher, Wes Anderson, Todd Haynes, etc., b) new American film
collectives, c) micro-budget directors, d) new American documentarists, e)
contemporary video artists, f) South and Central American directors, g)
non-American directors in America. Short (10 Minute) presentations
followed by discussion. Multimedia work encouraged (all proposals should
include a/v requests); must be or become member of SCS prior to
conference.
