CALL FOR PAPERS: New Areas of Study for PCA/ACA and
Delivery at April Meeting. (Deadline soon!)
For the 2000 conference of the American Culture Association/Popular Culture
Association meeting in New Orleans, April 19-22 participants are wanted in
new areas that will broaden and deepen the study of popular
culture/American culture in this country and abroad. Toward this end we are
looking for new approaches and new areas of study. Below are listed some
which immediately spring to mind. We invite others which for one reason or
another we have not covered in the past. Participants are invited to
present papers on any of the subjects, or, more importantly, to organize
sessions around one of the topics. Please send your abstracts and
suggestions by SEPTEMBER 15.

Popular Culture in the Revolutionary
and Federal Eras (1765-1820)
Popular Culture of the Fin de Siecle
