CALL FOR PAPERS
"NEW SOUTHERN DRAMA"
SOCIETY FOR THE STUDY OF SOUTHERN LITERATURE

Proposals are invited for a special session (perhaps two) on NEW SOUTHERN DRAMA
at the Society for the Study of Southern Literature conference in Orlando, April
6-9, 2000. The session will highlight newer playwrights whose work challenges
or expands conventional notions of "Southernness," both geographical and
literary.

Please send 500-word abstract by September 20, 1999, to
