Call for Papers

THE FRONTIER IN FILM SESSION

at the annual meeting of
The Southwest/Texas Popular Culture & American Culture Associations

Sheraton Old Town Hotel
Albuquerque, New Mexico
February 9-12, 2000

Proposals are invited for the Frontier in Film session, which is offered
within the Film and History area. Topics for the session may include, to
cite just a few examples, discussions of historical accuracy in depicting
the frontier in films, analyses of how Westerns portray frontier
characters, or contrasts between frontier and modern values in Westerns.

Please forward proposals (100-200 words) by December 1 (preferably sooner)
