Please cross-post where appropriate.

Cheryl Reed and James A. Inman , co-editors of Technology, Popular Culture,
and the Writing Classroom, a CD collection in development, are currently
seeking outstanding writing assignments that engage popular culture and
technology. In particular, we are looking for innovative assignments that
can serve as models for other writing instructors to use and adapt.

For the CD collection, we will ask assignment authors to prepare a brief
explanation of their design strategy and to share any design notes they
believe appropriate, but these aspects are not necessary for the assignment
itself to be considered. Only authors whose assignments are accepted for
inclusion will need to prepare such texts.

The deadline is November 1, 1999. Please send either a Web address or an
email attachment to both co-editors: Reed at reed@znet.groupz.net and Inman
at james.inman@furman.edu. We will acknowledge your submission and work to
make decisions as quickly as possible.

Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to email either
of the co-editors off-list. We are trying to keep this email as brief as
possible since it's being posted to elists.
