Call for Papers

Gender Studies

SW/TX PCA Convention
Albuquerque, NM - Oldtown Sheraton
Feb. 9-12, 2000

So, is it the best of times or the worst of times when it comes to gender?

Are we moving from the worst of patriarchal times to the best times of
equality?

Or are we moving from the best of times (not that I expect a lot of papers
defending this notion, although all points of view are welcome) to the worst?

It's a dickens of a question, and this is a call for papers on all aspects of
where women and men have come from, where we are now, and where we might be
headed in our relationships to the world and each other - to be presented at
the SW/TX PCA Convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico from Feb. 9-12, 2000.

We've had scholarly, provocative, and entertaining papers in the past and
anticipate even more this year. Each session panel will have a maximum of
three presenters to allow each one twenty minutes to present their work and
allow a full half-hour for questions and discussion.

See you in Albuquerque!!!
