UPDATE: Community/Culture in African American Poetry (1/1; 3/31-4/1)

The deadlines for submission to the George Moses Horton Society's second
biennial conference "Exploring Community and Culture in African American
Poetry" at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has been
extended.

The new deadlines are as follows:
regular mail -- postmarked by January 1, 2000
email -- January 5, 2000.

Additionally, award-winning poet Nikki Giovanni will be featured as our
keynote speaker. The following local and national poets will also
perform and discuss their work: Daniel Wideman, Phillip Shabazz, Evie
Shockley, Forrest Hamer and Candice Love.
