CALL FOR PAPERS
The editors of a scholarly collection on Southern women playwrights solicit
completed essays on the following topics:
-- The drama of Zora Neale Hurston, with particular attention to
aesthetic assessment of Hurston's plays;
-- The work of any Southern woman playwright whose major work appeared
prior to 1940;
-- The work of one or more recent "expatriate" Southern women
playwrights, such as Suzan-Lori Parks or Regina Taylor.
Other topics will be considered as well.
Please send a copy of a completed paper, not to exceed 5000 words, to either
editor by December 15, 1999. E-mail queries are welcome.
