CFP: Economies of Writing (3/10; MLA '00)

CFP: ECONOMIES OF WRITING. The Society for Critical Exchange will sponsor
two panels on "Economies of Writing" at the annual convention of the Modern
Language Association, December 27-30, 2000, in Washington, D.C. We seek
investigations of text production and distribution with special emphasis on
changing technologies, sites, and social arrangements. Both historical and
contemporary perspectives are welcome. Send 2-3 page proposals by 10 March
to: Martha Woodmansee (maw4@po.cwru.edu) and/or James Porter
