American Women Novelists Between the Wars (3/15; SCMLA, 11/9-11/11)
2000 South Central MLA Annual Convention
San Antonio, Texas
Proposals are invited for papers discussing the works of American women
novelists between World Wars I and II. The topic is fairly open, although
papers that address issues of gender, class, or race are particularly
sought. Proposals will also be considered for work on popular or
best-selling women novelists as well as more "literary" writers.
250-500 word abstracts or completed papers (suitable for 15-20 minute
presentation) must be postmarked or emailed by March 20, 2000. Email is
encouraged. Panelists must be SCMLA members by May 15, 2000.
