FOR A PROPOSED SPECIAL SESSION AT THE 2000 MLA

I'm soliciting papers on any aspect and any genre of twentieth-century
working-class writing. Papers, for instance, could address the
intersections of class with issues of gender, race, or sexuality; the
relationship of literature to social change; subjectivity and class
consciousness; class passing; or the cultural role of the working-class
writer.
