Call for Proposals
Women's Journeys
On October 6-7, 2000, the Northern Nevada Writing Project, Washoe County
School District, and the University of Nevada English Department are
co-sponsoring a conference, Women's Journeys. The focus of the conference
will be on women and their writing journeys, literary journeys, political
journeys, personal life journeys, and community involvement journeys.
We are interested in presentations that will approach the subject of
Women's Journeys through demonstrations, panel discussions, or hands-on
workshops. Non-traditional presentation formats that offer the
opportunity for audience involvement and participation are encouraged.
We welcome presentations by both men and women, and are eager for
presentations that discuss the role of men in women's journeys.
Presentation periods are 50 minutes. Co-presenters may included an
additional sheet with names, addresses and positions of additional
presenters.
