The print journal, Theory @ Buffalo: interdisciplinary graduate student
work on literature and the arts offers the following two calls for papers.
GENERAL TOPIC: The Epochal and the Ephemeral in the Twentieth Century
The year 2000 issue will provide a forum for papers on theories of
modernity.
We urge contributors to explore the intellectual history of the period and
its
innovations in literature, art, music, politics, science and technology.
The discursive possibilities are vast and we welcome graduate student
writing from all disciplines.

This 2000 issue will also offer a SPECIAL TOPIC sub-section on "Untimely
Meditations: 100 years After Nietzsche." A full description of this
specialtopic is available at our web site, and we encourage all interested
people to submit essays for consideration. The same submissions deadline and
format specifications apply to both the general and special topic calls for
papers.
