Call for Essays:

Negotiating Motherhood: Literary Representations of Maternity

Essays are solicited for Negotiating Motherhood: Literary
Representations of Maternity, a collection which historicizes and
theorizes ways in which maternity is constructed in literary texts.
Essays are welcome on any period of British or American literature and
about any aspect of motherhood and its ideological construction.

Please send queries and/or abstracts by August 31, 2000 to
