Call For Papers: The 6th Kate Chopin International Conference
Kate Chopin: A Woman of Influences
Held bi-annually in the historic Cane River Region of Natchitoches
Parish, Louisiana, the 6th Kate Chopin International Conference will be
held on the campus of Northwestern State University. The conference
will take place 29 - 31 March 2001.
Although papers on any aspect of Chopin’s work are welcome, we are
especially interested in papers which focus upon Chopin’s influences and
her influences on others: regional, literary, cultural and historical.
A proceeding volume based on the papers delivered at the conference is
likely.
Individual paper proposals of 500 words are requested by 15 September
2000. Full panel proposals are also welcome. Please forward proposals
to the address below. Email submissions as attached files in Microsoft
Word or WordPerfect are preferred.
