CAUCE
A Journal of Philology and Pedagogy
Special issue on Teaching and Learning Foreign Languages and Literatures
General editor of Cauce: Dr Alberto Millán Chivite, Universidad de
Sevilla
Guest editor: Professor John McRae, University of Nottingham
CAUCE: A Journal of Philology and Pedagogy has been published annually
for over 23 years under the auspices of the Departamento de Didáctica de
la Lengua y la Literatura y Filologías Integradas of the Universidad de
Sevilla in Spain.
Continuing its tradition of publishing outstanding scholarly articles
and reviews in linguistics and literary studies with both a theoretical
and a practical emphasis, the editorial board of CAUCE has invited
Special Professor John McRae, professor of language in literature
studies in the School of English Studies at the University of Nottingham
to edit a special issue on the interfaces between language, text and
culture in the context of foreign language teaching and learning. It
invites submissions for this issue, to be published in 2001.
In the first instance, proposals should be made to Professor McRae.
Papers may be written in English, French or Spanish; summaries will be
given in all three languages. They may be theoretical considerations on
any aspect of the general theme, and papers on practical pedagogic
considerations will be particularly welcomed. It is hoped to present a
worldwide range of viewpoints, including a focus on new Englishes and
new cultural perspectives on text, reading, writing and teaching.
The deadline for completed submissions is 1 December 2000. Papers must
be previously unpublished.
All submissions will be evaluated by the editor and by CAUCE’s editorial
board.
