For its Spring 2001 issue, Proteus: A Journal of Ideas, seeks essays and
scholarly articles using any methodology to study the creative impulse
in any context. Submissions may examine play, exploration, and
invention among humans or animals, at home or in school, on the job, or
in the field. We welcome articles/essays on institutions or other
social entities associated with creativity/exploration as well as
studies of individual inventors/explorers. In addition to articles, we
also encourage the submission of artwork, photographs, and poetry in
relation to these broad themes. Postmark deadline is October l, 2000.
