    Call for papers:

    American Women Writers and the Gothic

    Society for the Study of American Women Writers
    First International Conference
    San Antonio, Texas
    February 14-18, 2001

    Papers are solicited for a proposed panel considering the ways that US
    women writers have engaged with the Gothic. Papers on all historical
    periods are welcome. I am particularly interested in papers which
    explore women writers' use of Gothic conventions in genres other than
    fiction (for example, autobiography/memoir, poetry, reformist prose).

    Please email 1-2 page abstracts or completed papers, plus a brief (1
    page) CV, to dluciano@holycross.edu or mail them to:
