    I have already received a number of submissions for my proposed anthology
    "Inside/Out: Narratives Representing Consciousness." However, I am lacking
    essays that deal with the representation of consciousness (or experience as
    such) in works from the 18th Century and earlier. I would still welcome
    abstracts/essays on the moderns and/or contemporary writers, however.

    I am extending the previously posted dealine for submissions to this
    collection. The new deadline for abstracts (25-500 words) or drafts of papers
    will now be July 31, 2000. Please send them via email to Tom March at
