    Dear Film & History Scholars,

We have just returned to earth after a wonderful conference in
Finland and are forming/shaping the final conference program for
our Presidency in Film and TV sessions in Los Angeles, 10-12
    November--just after the national elections.

Some of you have been holding back: now is your chance to submit
a proposal about how the Presidency has been treated on film and tv,
to include presidential debates and commercials. The full spectrum'
of the presidency is available, so throw your hat in the ring!

Many have wondered about the methodology of Film and Television
studies by humanists; here is a great immersion experience, the kind
of experience which got many of us into the field years ago.

We will consider new proposals until 5:00pm CST, Wednesday, 11
    October.

As you consider the meeting, check out our preliminary program on
the Film & History Web site. (See below.)
