    Dear Colleagues:

    The Pennsylvania College English Association (PCEA) invites abstracts =
    for papers and proposed sessions to be presented at its annual meeting, =
    to be held on March 23 and 24, 2001, in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, =
    "Home Of The Groundhog."=20

    The conference theme, "At Play In The Field Of English Studies," is =
    designed to promote a thoughtful, provocative, and playful exchange of =
    ideas concerning our multi-faceted and inclusive discipline. Your ideas =
    for traditional panels, single paper presentations, roundtable =
    discussions, and other innovative means of discourse will be welcome on =
    any topic in English Studies. Readings of fiction, non-fiction, and =
    poetry are also welcome.

    Abstracts of 250 words, describing papers or panels, are due by November =
    1, 2000. Notifications of acceptance will be made by November 15, 2000. =
    To be included in the conference program, all presenters must be members =
    of PCEA by January 1, 2001.
