    RUTGERS UNIVERSITY

    CALL FOR PAPERS
    PROPOSALS DUE 30 OCTOBER 2000
    An open forum for innovative ideas and methods for the teaching of literature.

    Possible topics:
    genre period seminars survey classes technology
    translated texts foreign language teaching majors or non-majors
    theory teaching a thematically-based literature course
    teaching literature at different types of institutions
    using film, music, visual arts, or non-literary texts
    graduate student training for teaching literature
    teaching literature in humanities departments

    We invite teachers of literature from all disciplines to submit papers,
    two-page abstracts, or proposals fora panel, presentation, mini class,
    workshop, roundtable, or other creative method for modeling effective
    teaching practices.
