    COMITATUS:A JOURNAL OF MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE STUDIES

    Comitatus, published annually under the auspices of the UCLA Center for
    Medieval and Renaissance Studies, invites the submission of articles by
    graduate students and new scholars (within three years of obtaining the
    Ph.D.) in any field of medieval and renaissance studies; we particularly
    welcome articles that integrate or synthesize disciplines. In addition to
    critical articles we publish original translations of medieval or
    renaissance poetry and prose and reviews of recent scholarly works.

    Double-spaced manuscripts should not exceed thirty-five pages in length and
    should conform to the Chicago Manual of Style, 14th edition. Please give the
    author's name and affiliation on a separate cover page and include an e-mail
    address.

    SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR VOLUME 32 (2001): 15 FEBRUARY 2001

    The editorial board will make its final selections by early May.
