    Call for Papers for the special session at South Central Modern
    Language Association (November 1-3, Tulsa 2001)

    GLOBALIZATION AND ITS LITERARY REPRESENTATIONS. The new generations of
    contemporary writers grapple with the varied effects of globalization on
    many local peoples in the world. This panel seeks papers on literary
    representations of the global world, the world dictated by the World
