    CALL FOR PAPERS
    Women Reading Women Writers I and II
    American Literature Association Conference
    Cambridge, MA
    May 24-27, 2001

    SHARP (Society for the History of Authorship, Reading, and Publishing) and
    the SSAWW (Society for the Study of American Women Writers) will sponsor
    coordinated sessions -- "Women Reading Women Writers I and II" -- at next
    year's ALA Convention in Cambridge.

      The panels are broadly defined to solicit a wide range of approaches
    to the study of American women readers, writers, and marketplace contexts.
      
    Women Reading Women Writers I

    We invite proposals that explore the significance of
    women reading the texts of other women as reflected in any genre --
    fiction, essays, poetry, or diaries and other private writings.
