    The eleventh annual Central New York Conference on Language and Literature, to
    be held in Cortland, NY, 28-30 October 2001, seeks Chairs for the following
    standard sessions:

    SEVENTEENTH-CENTURY ENGLISH LITERATURE
    VICTORIAN LITERATURE
    TWENTIETH-CENTURY ENGLISH LITERATURE

    NINETEENTH-CENTURY AMERICAN LITERATURE
    AMERICAN LITERARY MODERNISM
    MAJOR AMERICAN AUTHORS (ANY AUTHOR OF YOUR CHOICE, PENDING APPROVAL)
    JEWISH-AMERICAN LITERATURE

    COMPOSING ONLINE
    COMPOSITION AND RHETORIC
    GENDER AND WRITING
    TEACHING THE TEACHERS: METHODS OF INSTRUCTING COLLEGE COMPOSITION

    AUTOBIOGRAPHY
    CONTEMPORARY LITERARY THEORY
    LITERATURE AND FILM
    LITERATURE AND SCIENCE

    Sessions will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis to qualified
    faculty and advanced graduate students. Please include a home mailing address
    when you respond; we do NOT sell our mailing address to anyone under any
    circumstances.

    We would also like to solicit special-session proposals on any worthwhile
    topic. Please request a special-session application form.
    We do not, however, run any foreign-langauge sessions.
