    Contributions are being sought for a proposed collection of critical
    studies of Edna O'Brien's fiction. The editors are seeking a variety of
    approaches to O'Brien's work Possible topics could include her treatment
    of female sexuality, relationship to the Irish literary tradition, the
    banning of her work in Ireland, representations of the city, female
    friendship, her feminism, the confessional narrative style, analyses of
    individual works, short stories or the trilogy, her dramatic writing, film
    adaptations of her work. Please submit essays of 25-35 pages in length by
    July 13, 2001 to Maureen O'Connor and Lisa Colletta, Department of
