MEANING AND CONTEXT
The BYU English Graduate Student Association announces its third annual Graduate
Student Conference held March 3, 2001. This year's theme, "Meaning and Context,"
is intentionally broad, intending to invite responses that fill in the "gap."
Theoretical/philosophical papers, research papers, application papers, and
creative works are welcome.
Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
* Postcolonial Literature
* Contemporary Literature
* Non-Canonical Literature
* Religion and Literature
* Composition Theory
* Professional Writing
* Teaching Composition
* Gender Studies
* Race Studies
* Autobiography/Biography
* Multiculturalism
* Shakespeare in the Twentieth Century
* Literature and Film
Full panel proposals are welcome. Include abstracts of each paper for the
proposed panel.
Papers must be readable in fifteen minutes.
Send one-page abstracts by JANUARY 15, 2001 to:
