Recognizing the excellent critical work being done in theses and
dissertations on travel writing, the Society for American Travel Writing
announces a call for papers from graduate students for an open panel at
the American Literature Association Conference 2001, scheduled for 23-26
May in Cambridge, MA. Entitled "New Lines of Sight: Outstanding
Graduate Work in American Travel Writing," the session will be held on
Thursday, 24 May.
Abstracts of no more than two pages may be submitted by mail or email
(the latter preferred) by 15 January 2001 to Dr. Russ Pottle, Academic
Dean, St. Joseph Seminary College, St. Benedict, LA, 70457, or
<acdean@stjosephabbey.org>. Papers should be no more than 20 minutes in
length, or about 8-10 double-spaced typed pages.
