    CALL FOR RADIO PAPERS

    The Radio Section of the SW / Texas PCA /ACA is soliciting papers to be
    presented at its meeting in Albuquerque, NM, from 7-10 March 2001.
    Topics are open and may include, among others, Golden Age programs;
    current practices; talk ("shock") radio; underground or off-shore
    stations; performers; targeted shows (women, juveniles); news
    commentators; disk jockeys; foreign stations; influence of advertising
    or current events upon content; development of genres (comedy; soap
    opera); social implications of programming ("Amos 'n' Andy"; ethnic
    shows); adaptations of plays and novels for mass audiences;
    continuations of radio in TV / films.
