African American Literature and Culture Society
American Literature Association Conference
Cambridge, MA, 24-27 May 2001
Topic: Open
The AALCS is interested in papers covering all
aspects of the African American literary
experience. Presentations that address theory as
it relates to the literature, or that suggest the
ways other forms of expressive culture relate to
literary works, or that bring to attention lesser
known authors or works are especially encouraged.
Panels may also be proposed.
One-page abstracts should be sent in hard copy,
fax, or by e-mail (no
