    ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: January 31, 2001

    The call for papers for the conference Authenticities East and West
    (3/30-4/1, Princeton University) is now available in Chinese and

    scholars in the field of cultural criticism, this graduate symposium
    invites papers from both graduate students and recent post-doctoral
    scholars. The abstracts should deal EITHER (1) with theoretical issues
    of comparison between East Asian and Western cultures, OR (2) with a
    comparative study of specific works that will provide insight to such
    theoretical issues. Please submit abstracts of 500 words or two pages by
