The regular section "Freshman English and English Composition" of the
South Central Modern Language Association welcomes both proven and
innovative approaches to teaching Freshman English and English
composition. The 2001 theme is "Freshman Technologies: Cultural,
Textual, Linguistic, Pedagogical." Papers are not limited to this
theme.

Please send papers or 500 word abstracts to Judith Hebb, 1504 Spanish
Trail, Plano, TX 75023-3047 by March 15, 2001.

Conference dates are November 1-3, 2001 in Tulsa, OK. Visit the SCMLA
