    Call for Papers for the Graduate Student Session of the
    South Central Modern Language Association Conference, "Technologies:
    Cultural, Textual, Linguistic, Pedagogical"
    Tulsa, Oklahoma
    1-3 November 2001

    The Graduate Student Session of the SCMLA invites abstracts on the topic
    of "Putting your ABD/PhD to Work Outside of the Classroom."

    Abstracts should address the theme of professional alternatives to teaching
    for the ABD and PhD in the humanities. Given the conference's specific
    theme of "Technologies: Cultural, Textual, Linguistic, Pedagogical," papers
    might choose (but are not required) to focus on careers in
    technical/technilogical fields. E-mail submissions are welcome; please
    paste all information in the body of the e-mail message.

    Submissions should be postmarked no later than 15 March 2001.

    Please submit an abstract of 250 words and a 1 page c.v. to
