the history, evolution and cultural interactions of the English language

    writings in English?
    - How does Southeast Asia "write back" in the age of globalization?
    - What is the relation between the nativization of English and the
politics of identity in Southeast Asia?
    - What influence does the English language have on literary writings in
    Southeast Asian languages?
    - In what ways do other English cultures (British, American, Australian
and Canadian) contribute to the formation of
      Southeast Asian cultures?
    - What are the uses of literacy in English for the media and advertising
    in SE Asia?
